Questions, answered
How does the free trial work?
Start Starter free for 30 days or 3 envelopes, whichever comes first. Checkout takes a card but charges nothing up front. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
What counts as an envelope?
A draft uses one envelope when you first send it, however many people sign it. A corrected copy uses one when it's created. Unsent drafts are free. Unused envelopes don't roll over.
Are the audit trail and certificates extra?
No. The audit trail, sealed and timestamped PDF, certificate of completion, evidence bundle and live verification come with every plan. They're the product.
What happens after I subscribe?
Your workspace is set up automatically and you land in the dashboard, signed in. A sign-in link follows by email. Create API keys when you need them from Account → API keys. We never email one.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, yourself, from Account → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for. No lock-in, no cancellation fees. Completed evidence stays downloadable while your workspace is open.
Will it work for my documents?
DrakonSign suits everyday business paperwork such as NDAs, supplier and customer terms, consultancy agreements, offer letters and internal approvals. It is a simple electronic signature, not for deeds, wills or Land Registry transfers. The suitability page has the full list.
How are signers verified?
Each signer enters a one-time code sent to the inbox you addressed, before the document opens. DrakonSign doesn't check ID documents.
Where is my data held?
The app, the database and your live documents run in London, encrypted in transit and at rest. Encrypted nightly backups are kept for 30 days on globally distributed storage. The Security page has the full breakdown.
Is there a storage limit?
Each workspace has 512 MiB of document storage on every plan, covering originals, signed copies, certificates and evidence bundles. It doesn't reset monthly. Erase envelopes you no longer need to free space, or talk to us if you need more.
